The Terms of Use (including this Privacy Policy) or any part thereof may be revised from time to time through an updated posting. What Information Is Collected

“Personal Data” means data that, by itself, allows someone to identify you as an individual, including, for example, your name, address, telephone number, and email address, as well as any other non-public information about you that is associated with or linked to any of the foregoing data. “Anonymous Data” means data that does not, by itself, permit the identification of individual persons and that is not associated with or linked to Personal Data. We collect Personal Data and Anonymous Data, as described below. In the case of HZ Alert, it also includes location data information (for example, data is used to determine where a device is located, so pertinent information regarding emergency events in that location can be sent to the device).

a. Information You Provide to Us.

We collect your username, first name, last name, email address, phone number, zip/postal code, and password when you create an account to log in to our platform (“User Account”).

We collect any Personal Data you provide to the Services. For instance, if you include your Personal Data as the main contact information in the event of an emergency, other authorized users who have an administrative or leadership role in your group will be able to see your Personal Data.

If you are an employee or independent contractor at an organization, we will collect any Personal Data your organization provides to the Service, including your first name, last name, email address, and phone number.

If you provide us feedback or contact us via email, we will collect your name and email address, as well as any other content included in your email to us, in order to send you a reply.

We may also collect Personal Data at other points in our Site, Application, Software, or Services that state that Personal Data is being collected.

b. Information Collected via Technology.

Information Collected by Our Servers. To make our Site, Application, Software, and Services more useful to you, our servers (which may be hosted by a third-party service provider) may automatically collect information from your computer or device, including but not limited to:

The date and time you log in or log out of the Application, Software, or Services;

The date and time of you visit the web pages, content you view, and links you click on while navigating within our Services;

Information about the type of content accessed via our Services;

Your Internet Protocol (IP) address (a numerical address assigned to your computer by your Internet service provider so that other computers connected to the Internet can communicate with your browser online) that can sometimes be used to derive your general geographic area;

Information about your devices, such as your device type, language and other settings, time zone, and the names, versions, and package IDs of software installed on your device; and

With your permission, your exact device location.

The information we learn from users helps us personalize and improve your experience on our websites in furtherance of serving the user’s needs and our legitimate business purposes. A user’s personally identifying information may be used by our company to help us improve the Website and also for our company’s marketing and promotional purposes. We receive and store any information you enter on this Site or give us in any other way. Your consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of personal information is obtained when you first log in to use the HZ platform or HZ Alert App. For more sensitive information, such as location information, we will obtain additional consent when you download the app and log in for the first time.

Withdrawing Consent

The choice to provide your consent is always yours; however, your decision to withhold such consent may limit your ability to interact with the app.

Information Sharing And Disclosure

Information collected through this Site may be supplied to affiliates of Hour-Zero, and other companies and organizations who perform work for us under contract. We also may disclose personally identifiable information in the following situations: (a) in response to a subpoena, court order or legal process, to the extent permitted and required by law; (b) to protect user security or the security of other persons, consistent with applicable laws; (c) in connection with a sale, joint venture or other transfer to some or all of the assets of Hour-Zero; or (d) in order to enforce the Site’s <a href=”terms_of_use.html”>Terms of Use</a>. We otherwise exercise commercially reasonable care to not otherwise share or disclose the names of users or any personally identifiable information with third parties, except with the prior approval of the user.

PARENTS: We encourage parents and guardians to spend time online with their Children (Children 12 and under) and to participate in the activities that may be offered on this Site. No personally-identifying information should be submitted to or posted on this Site by Children without the consent of their parent or guardian. If you submit such information to us, we may collect and keep a record of the submission, including the email address, the resume or CV, and all information supplied with such submission, and use this information to evaluate you or your company for employment or work with Hour-Zero.
